The Audio Fiber Link modules enable low-level audio from the DVC-AO (DVC Analog Audio Option) to be distributed via fiber. These modules allow the low level analog audio risers to be run farther distances, minimize signal distortion, alleviate security concerns associated with wire, afford ground fault resistance and are immune to the effects of transient voltages such as lightning.
Features and Benefits:
- Changes the media connection from wire to fiber allowing the preferred fiber (single mode fiber, multi-mode) to be used to achieve greater distance on the analog low level audio riser, alleviate security concerns associated with wire, ground fault resistance and immunity to the effects of transient voltages such as lightning.
- Enables the analog low level audio riser to be a hybrid of wire, single mode fiber or multi-mode fiber supporting the use of the desired media for each analog low level audio riser segment
Specifications
Audio Fiber Link modules may be used in systems where:
- The use of wire media is not possible due to security requirements.
- Fiber-optic cable is already installed and available for low level audio distribution.
- Significant distances between DVC-AO and remote amplifier cabinets dictate the use of fiber.
- High-intensity electromagnetic fields of audible frequencies could be coupled to low-level audio over wire.
- Both distance and physical location of remote cabinets require the use of star topology.
